Writing about all things good and bad in fashion, television, music, and pop culture from the 70's, and 80's, Retrospace picks up where Retrocrush left off (sorry Retrocrush, but what happened?). Just glimpse post titles such as "Crochet Gone Bad" and "Occult Lameness" for example, and you know it's going to be good.
Crochet hot pants and lederhosen. Awesome.
The sad thing is, had I been 20-something and hot in the 70's, I would have loved these outfits. Alas, I was too young.

As my regular readers know, I have a thing for chairs. I'd welcome the chairs in the pics above and below in my home. Dig those kitchen cabinets and kelly green ceiling too (although I fear that ceiling would bring about madness...)

Loud wallpaper & completely unsanitary carpeting in the bathroom, but for some reason I find the room appealing. The cute chair and ocean view don't hurt.

These last few images are from Seventies Design. Does anyone know what restaurant this is, and if it still exists? I would totally eat here (although I find the pyramids a bit scary).
The architect/designer's repetition of the circle six times (can you find them all?) is quite brilliant.
There was probably a whole lotta' cocaine snorted in this room.

I had that crochet book. Honest. I wanted to make the split dress thing. Eeek. All I made was an afgan, and countless Juliet-style beanies, all from acrylic yarn.

I like some of it too...its just so unique..some the decor can be gawdy but it also has some charm. that cocaine comment was hilarious, so so true!!
