I realize that to many of you, snow is no big deal. My area hasn't seen a significant snowfall in over 15 years, so the 4-5 inches that fell in my yard last Friday was not only unexpected (the forecast was for sleet and freezing rain), but a really big happening. Mr. Cheese and I spent the late afternoon and evening playing with the dogs, walking the neighborhood, building a snowman, and grilling hot dogs on the charcoal grill. We were like little kids who just didn't want to go inside. The pups were even more excited than we were.
When I get ambitious, I'll upload the video I shot of my neighbor skiing down our street.

Glad you got to enjoy some snow this winter!
Yay for the snow!! We got over a foot here in Richmond, and it is supposed to snow again tomorrow...
Crazy! This never happens...

Oh Woweeee...these photos are great and its so wonderful to hear you guys had a ball in it. It`s not as special for us here cause its here all the time and just BITTER.
Oh! I love these Marsi - it sounds like you had a ball!! That last snowman is very dapper looking - he has such a nice figure!! P.S. Feel free to send some snow our way - it's soo muggy and hot in Sydney!
awww your enthusiasm for snow almost doesn't make me hate it so much! i remember the feeling at the beginning of winter when I'm thrilled to get outside and play in the white fluffiness! but Montreal winters just get too brutal, and I envy your ability to be excited about snow in February when here everyone is cursing it! :)
you sound like you had a fantastic time!
Barbecuing in the snow - I'd love to do that.
Your post makes snow seem like so much fun again!! It looks like you had a little vacation day right at your own home!!
Love the snow!
We keep getting freezing rain so all of our snow is rock hard. Not too fun.
This reminded me of the prank the naughty kids did in the neighborhood,
they'd build a snowman right infront of the front door of strangers' house & ring the bell...hehe imagine when the owner of the house open the door~what?!!!
Would you do it for your neighbor too?
anyway, brrr~I'm so ready for spring to come asap~
xo*
Love the shot of Mr. Cheese with the dog heading for the fire hydrant.
And the ice cold beers.
oh man, you got all the snow! we received a tad bit of ice and that was it. so boring!
I would of been just like you & the Mr. That's my kind of fun; the kind that is simple and makes some serious memories. Love the pups and the beer in the snow!!
Before you know it, we'll all be sweating again. Thanks for sharing the snow day with us Marsi. xox deb
