Mid-Century Home Brochures

Forgive my infrequent posting these days my lovelies. I'm like a madwoman trying to get things done before leaving for the wedding trip in a week. A little mid-century goodness to break up your "hump day":

Found via Live Modern, a fantastic flickr photostream of mid-century home brochures and ephemera.

I like the title of the 2nd last one - National Homes of a moderate cost.
Thanks for posting these - they're gorgeous.

These are awesome. I'm pretty sure today I'll spot a few just like these. Have a good hump day!

Oh -- I would love to have one of these houses. I'd take any one of them. I can't recall ever having been inside one of these at any time. Every now and then we drive by one of these here in the city, but I am surprised I do not see more of them.

I apologize that I have not been around more, but a lot going on. I see you have been busy too.:) I hope you're not working too hard.

WONDERFUL!! I've been transported back to my childhood with many of these fabulous pics! I grew up in a neighborhood that had many incredible modern homes and never appreciated them until I moved away. Thanks so much for posting them for our viewing PLEASURE! I'll be back! :)

I remember my parents pouring over mags like this when they were thinking of building a house. They wanted a good ol' 50's style ranch that would house tons of kids and be functional..love it!

The imagery on these vintage publications is so much fun!!

Now only if you could buy one of these houses at 1960s prices :)

This just makes me dream of the day when I can buy/build my own mid-century style home.

We pass one every Sunday that's to DIE for. They even have the Range Rover I want! We're thinking of trying the "can we use your bathroom" trick so we can go inside and see how gorgeous it is! For some reason, I don't think it would work!
