Fitting in a quickie post while my parents (who are visiting from TX) are out and about. I thought I'd share some pics of our first snowfall of the season. What's special about an inch of snow? We rarely see any snow accumulation in my area anymore, even though we used to see at least one good 6"+ snowfall a season. Damn climate change. So waking up to the white stuff was pretty cool. Of course, it all melted my 10 am.
See how far behind I am on everything? I still have pumpkins on my porch. I'm hoping my Mom will make a yummy soup with them.
Note that there are still leaves on some of the trees.
Dodge loves the snow, and hasn't seen it in two years (although he hates the rain, the big pansy). He was absolutely crestfallen when I opened the back door at 10 and the snow had already melted.
I really owe you guys some more interesting posts than this. I seem to recall that at one time this was a design-focused blog? Anyway, after the 10 family members I'm entertaining this week leave, perhaps I can get back to a more normal schedule.

You'd think we'd have lots of snow around here too at the moment, but it doesn't stay anymore. Until February or so. Then it lingers till like May... Horrible. That's global warming for you.
Dodge looks so cool. Is he a smooth fox terrier/mix, by any chance?
Gorgeous photos! I can't believe you've gotten snow before we have!! Although mid-Michigan is supposed to get a blizzard this week :(
We just had our first snowfall yesterday -- only about 3 inches or so. However, unlike your neck of the woods, there will be plenty more snow this winter here in Maine!

Love it Marsi. Can never get too many snow pic's. Just makes a person feel like their 8 & it's time to drag out the sled. Enjoy your family time. You have a house full & don't worry about us. We are patient bloggers, especially for you. Let it snow..let it snow..let it snow xx
