I was browsing Tina Tarnoff's original paintings this morning, and I absolutely love this one, entitled "A Fine Afternoon". It reminded me that despite having brand new tennis balls in my garage (because they were on our wedding registry), I still haven't gotten back on the court after my years-long hiatus. I suppose I'm not really sporty anymore. I don't think the occasional croquet game, bike ride, or backbacking trip counts, does it? Evenings of beer and foosball don't count either, do they?
Are YOU sporty?

I'm not at all...no discipline nor competitiveness I'm afraid! Love the colors on this artwork~
I am sporty if shopping counts as a sport! :D
i used to play softball when i was younger and i can get competitive (much to b's horror when it happens) but i'm not nearly disciplined enough for any real talent.
I've never been super sporty, but I do push myself to do sports. Badminton, swimming, tennis (it's been awhile too), roller blading (not doing that till my body recovers ;) and a couple others. I'm not good at any of them...just like the groan the next day after doing them!
Ha! Thanks so much, Marsi, for featuring my fine afternoon! I'm not sporty at all, that's why this couple appealed to me:). I like to do my sports in a long skirt, fancy hair and very leasurly! xoxo
Anything where beer is involved counts my dear!!! I love the painting :D
I wish I knew how to play tennis. Ben loves tennis and we courts near our house.
I would say I'm semi-sporty? I run races and like to be active. In high school I was major into sports. I was obsessed with basketball. I'm pretty competive too, but am trying to get better :)
lol! does the occasional game of baddmitten count?
also, i take my dog for runs on my bike.
so .. maybe a little sporty.
can i play basketball like a champ?
no. :-)
heh heh. i am not a sporty authority. at all. i go for the occasional hike or walk, and watch the superbowl. so methinks that means you are a zillion times sportier than i am! :)
Not at all. I love walks more so for the nature aspect not the physical part so much. I like to bowl, play badminton, the odd ping pong..hmmm...I used to like to play soccer baseball when I was a kid. I honestly wish there was something more physical that I loved so I could stay in more solid shape.
Thanks for your sweet comments, they made me smile. Things are good other than the odd little things that don't go as planned in my head but things will come together how they should..they usually do. I find as soon as you stop worrying..things start happening and falling into place.
I hope you and are your new hubmeister are doing fabalicious!
This is super charming work!! I wouldn't consider myself "sporty" but I love walking and I'm not adverse to the odd sit up! I get a bit stressed if it's a competition! Tennis scares me to death!!
Not sporty. Like at all.
But I love this piece.
